Exhibit video and documentary accompanying the 2001 Wing Luke Museum exhibit on garment workers and the Seattle garment industry.
Asian American garment workers--the backbone of the lucrative U.S. garment manufacturing industry--share their personal stories for the first time. Seattle thrived as the outwear production capital of the world for nearly a century, thanks to the contributions and struggles of these many Japanese, Chines, Filipino and Vietnamese women. Their moving stories bring new insight into a hidden history.
