About Us

The Port of Vancouver USA was established in 1912 and is the third-oldest port in the state of Washington. The port has 1,643 acres of property including 858 acres of developed property and more than 570 acres available for future development. The port is located along four miles of waterfront property.

The POV is the hub of industrial jobs in Southwest Washington. More than 50 industrial tenants and companies are located at the port including Great Western Malting, United Grain Corp., Trobella Cabinetry, Cadet Manufacturing, Subaru of America, NuStar Energy, and Northwest Packing Co. Almost 4,000 people work at the port each day (port staff as well as tenant employees, stevedors, longshore, etc.) with direct, indirect and induced jobs totaling 20,200.

The port is strategically located and offers easy access to river, road and rail. The furthest inland deepwater port on the Columbia River, the port offers five marine terminals with 13 shipping berths. Dual rail carrier service is offered by BNSF and Union Pacific and the port is unit train capable. Convenient access to Interstate 5 connects the port from Canada to Mexico; and Interstate 84 provides connections east. Major trading partners are China, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, Europe and South America.
