As a regent for the U.S. Chamber's Institute for Organizational Management, I worked with U.S. Chamber staff to coordinate and host a weeklong training for CEOs and Executive Directors from across the country. The training is part of a four year program for leadership and organization management for associations, societies and Chambers of Commerce. A wonderful program.

On behalf of California's flower and greens farmers, I serve as a signatory board member of the Buy California Marketing Agreement. The cut flower and greens farmers of California are the largest utilizers of the "California Grown" brand, labeling their flowers sleeves, boxes, etc. to help consumers identify with the origin of their flowers. The program has helped drive sales and been a real success in helping provide origin based messaging throughout the supply chain, through to the consumer.

Growers of U.S. highbush blueberries generate more than $4.7 billion in annual economic impact, translating to more than $12.7 million flowing into the U.S. economy every day of the year.

American Grown Field to Vase Dinner Tour
The Dinner Tour is a series of private, intimate, must-attend gatherings that place seasonal, local and sustainable American Grown flowers at the center of the table where locally grown food, beer, and wine is served by a farm-to-table chef. Each artisan-style dinner is held at a unique venue — an American flower farm that encourages guests to experience the age-old art and science of flower farming.
