Welcome to the Fall for Science Jefferson Lab Virtual Field Trip for Families event website. We invited the public to go along with us as we visited many of our unique facilities in a live online event. We took an exclusive tour through the lab's Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility, including the accelerator and three experimental halls, to learn about our research inside the nucleus of the atom and the incredible equipment that makes it all work. We also went behind the scenes of world-leading particle accelerator research and development in the SRF Institute and toured through some of the largest superfluid helium refrigerators in the world in the rarely accessible Central Helium Liquefier. During the live event, following a pre-recorded and detailed tour in each area, our experts were available to answer questions from the audience live.
A full recording of the live event is available now on the Jefferson Lab YouTube channel. You'll find a direct link to the full recording of the live event, as well as additional materials for enjoying your virtual visit to Jefferson Lab below.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our live virtual tour of Jefferson Lab. Due to some technical issues in streaming the live event, there were some glitches in the original YouTube feed. We have remastered the video of the event from the original recording, and you can click the link to see the remastered recording of the live event.
Fall for Science with us!
