Informed Horizons Education (IHE), a 501(c)(3) non-profit company, was launched in 2019 in order to address important and unmet educational needs in professional and medical fields as pertaining to continued medical education, live programming, and online resources that will benefit professionals, clinicians, researchers, nurses and students in the predominantly biomedical field. It is the mission, duty and purpose of IHE to address unmet needs and knowledge gaps that educate and inform clinicians, research scientists, nurses, students, trainees and patients on the latest medical and scientific discoveries. The educational programs are designed to help health care professionals provide improved care for patients and affected individuals.

Ultimately, IHE’s mission is to provide continuing education opportunities for professionals on the challenges of our time and inform them of what lies ahead on the horizon.

  • We are pleased to announce Hep DART 2023 will be held at the Hacienda Del Mar from December 3-7, 2023 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
After the conference in 2021 we sent a survey out to the former participants of Hep DART to assess were the delegates would like to hold the conference. We received an overwhelming response to continue to hold the conference in Cabo San Lucas. Cabo is an ideal location to hold a conference in December. The climate is warm with little chance of rain during that time of the year. This allows us to hold many events outdoors and provide ample space for social distancing. Additionally, the Cabo is a centralized location for international delegates while allowing additional visa access.

  • Since its inception in 1995, HEP DART has established itself as an internationally recognized biennial conference that provides an important platform for scientists, healthcare workers, and clinicians to share and discuss the latest advancements in the field of viral hepatitis and liver cancer. Although advances in antiviral drug development against viral hepatitis have seen many successes over the past three decades, many obstacles still remain. HEP DART 2021 addressed current roadblocks in the field of hepatology such as injectable and shorter treatment for HCV, new advancements in HBV cure strategies, vaccine development and treatment access. In addition to viral hepatitis, this year’s program included special sessions on liver disease such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

  • The focus of HIV DART 2020 is to assemble clinicians, medical professionals, nurses, researchers and basic scientists together to advance our knowledge of the ongoing drug development processes in the treatment and cure of HIV and co-morbidities. This year's meeting will be held virtually on December 10, 2020. We believe that the virtual format will provide a highly invigorating and accessible platform for the scientific community to engage with their peers and learn about the latest advancements in this arena. Antiretroviral drug development against HIV has seen many successes over the past three decades. However, despite the approval of over 25 drugs for the treatment of HIV infection, many barriers still remain unresolved. This year, we plan to address advancements in antiretroviral therapy, long-acting formulations, and neurocognitive complications of HIV infection. Strong emphasis will be placed on HIV cure strategies and the latest pre-clinical and clinical discoveries in this arena. Through participation in this three-day event, delegates will be able to attend invited lectures by world-renowned leaders, participate in several interactive panel discussions and take advantage of key networking opportunities included in the program.

  • The DART series conferences highlight emerging challenges facing today’s global community. Respiratory viruses such as RSV and influenza virus are important threats to human health, especially in vulnerable populations such as infants, the elderly, and the immunocompromised. The ongoing international distress around the COVID-19 pandemic warrants an up-to-date, high-quality and multi-faceted platform where the latest developments and cutting-edge discoveries can be shared, discussed and analyzed. RespiDART & Emerging Viruses 2020 strives to serve as one such platform by addressing unmet needs in knowledge dissemination and translation, highlighting the latest medical breakthroughs, translating bench science discoveries to real world clinical needs, and identifying current and future roadblocks on the path to successful vaccine and antiviral drug development. Considering recent seismic changes in global health as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, RespiDART & Emerging Viruses 2020 will address an urgent and unprecedented need in global health. At the same time, this meeting will serve to highlight other emerging and re-emerging viral threats such as chikungunya, norovirus, nipah, Dengue and yellow fever viruses.
