Terms of Agreement 
Mentees are required to attend the orientation session and commit to four one-hour mentoring sessions during the mentorship term (January - June).  
 
If an accepted mentee cannot attend an orientation session, they are expected to contact the WIT Mentor Mentor Programing Team  immediately.

Any relationship between mentor and mentee beyond the WIT sponsored Mentor Sessions will be left to the discretion of the mentor-mentee team. 
          
Mentors and mentees will be responsible for completing any evaluation materials and returning them to the WIT Mentor Mentor Programing Team in a timely fashion.

I have been active in the University IT environment for over 30 years, focused upon customer-based usability and design and providing quality products to our end users.

As Manager of the Quality Assurance and Assessment Team, I am responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of Software Testers, Accessibility Experts and Usability Specialists. We are responsible for the evaluation and testing of all products produced by Tech Services, as well as all software purchased by Tech Services. We also consult with units across Campus to help them evaluate their websites, interfaces, and software purchases.

As the Manager of the Web Hosting team, I am responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of service administrators and liaisons who support a number of web hosting platforms offered to the campus community. 
I am also the Service Owner for the Illinois Wiki, Publish Illinois (a WordPress service) Web Illinois (a cPanel service), and our Usability Consulting Service. As Service Owner I am responsible for the oversight and planning for these services.

I also participate as part of the Leadership team for Illinois' Women in Technology group. I serve as a mentor, help plan and put on Campus wide events and give presentations.

As the Co-Chair of the Web Implementations Guidelines Group, I work with Web Professionals across the Campus to develop and implement an Illinois' branded web theme that meets the Campus' marketing and branding standards, is flexible, accessible, and secure.

Areas of specialization and study: usability, web design, quality assurance and assessment, process improvement, project management and facilitation, and photography.
