Professional Writer, Lifelong Learner, Pacific NorthwesternerGreetings and salutations! I’m a technical communicator with expertise in writing, editing, design, and user experience. My writing career started close to home: I minored in Writing Studies at Western Washington University, graduating in 2018 and providing content writing for a network of Bellingham businesses and their clients. Eventually I traveled from the City of Subdued Excitement to the Silicon Forest, earning my Master’s in Technical and Professional Writing at Portland State University in 2022. This portfolio, originally my culminating project, showcases the balance of technical and humanistic skills I bring to my work.
Whether in nature, communities, technologies, or professional relationships, we encounter complex systems every day. As a technical writer, it is my responsibility and privilege to translate and draw connections from complex information to solve problems and address user needs. I strive to connect my knowledge with clients’ goals, connect clients with their communities, and connect information needed to continuously improve the systems that connect us all together. If you are seeking a writer with a local state of mind and global competencies and ethics, I look forward to connecting with you. |
