Physical and imposing linebacker who played five seasons with the Vols … Played in 48 games and made 19 starts during his career ... Exploded as a junior at the Will linebacker position, becoming the Vols’ first player with 100-plus tackles since 2015 … Came to UT as a heralded prospect out of the Memphis area as a running back before making the switch to linebacker prior to the 2019 season … Collected 219 career tackles – 109 solo – and 18 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, three interceptions and 10 passes defended … Owned six double-digit tackle games … Was an active leader in the Vols’ community service efforts … Invited and participated in the 2023 East-West Shrine Bowl in Las Vegas … Selected to the 2023 NFL Combine.

2022 – RS-SENIOR

Played in 11 games with eight starts at linebacker … Finished fifth on the team in tackles with 53, including 33 solo, to go along with 4.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups, eight quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery … Did not play in the Capital One Orange Bowl vs. Clemson (12/30) … Tied a season high with seven tackles to go along with half a TFL and two pass breakups in shutout win at Vanderbilt (11/26) ... Tallied four tackles and a QB hurry on Senior Day in win vs. Missouri (11/12) ... Made seven tackles, 1.5 TFLs and had one pass breakup at No. 3 Georgia (11/5) ... Recorded his 200th career tackle against No. 19 Kentucky (10/29), finishing with six stops in the victory ... Was disruptive all day long in win over No. 3 Alabama (10/15), setting a career high with four QB hurries and finishing with six tackles ... Tallied a pair of tackles, including a TFL, and also had a pass breakup in road win at No. 25 LSU (10/8) ... Tied for the team lead with a season-high seven tackles in win over No. 20 Florida (9/24) while also recording half a TFL, a QB hurry and his first-career fumble recovery on a key defensive stop early in the fourth quarter ... 2021 – RS-JUNIOR

Produced one of the best seasons by a linebacker in school history, while playing in all 13 games with 11 starts at Will … Led the team and ranked second in the SEC and tied for seventh in the nation in total tackles with 128 (59 solo, 69 assisted) ... Averaged 9.85 tackles per game, good for 12th in the nation … His 128 total tackles were the most by a Vol in a season since A.J. Johnson logged 138 in 2012 … His 69 assisted tackles ranked sixth in UT single-season annals … Along with Byron Young, tied for the team lead in tackles for loss (11.5) and sacks (5.5) ... Produced six double-digit tackle games, including six out of his last seven contests on the year … Added one interception, three pass breakups and three QB hurries during the season … Notched a career high and tied a UT bowl record with 20 tackles – 10 solo and 10 assisted – in the Music City Bowl vs. Purdue (12/30) … Became the first Vol with 20 tackles in a game since Daniel Bituli vs. Georgia Tech on Sept. 4, 2017 … Also was the first UT player with 20 in a bowl game since Carl Zander vs. Maryland in the 1984 Sun Bowl … Led all players with 12 tackles and also had a QB hurry in win vs. Vanderbilt (11/27) ... 2020 – RS-SOPHOMORE

Played in nine games as a reserve linebacker, totaling 28 tackles, including 13 of the solo variety ... Had four tackles vs. No. 6 Florida (12/5) ... Set a season high with eight tackles at No. 3 Georgia (10/10) ... Recorded five tackles and one tackle for loss in season-opening win at South Carolina (9/26) … Did not play against Alabama.

2019 – SOPHOMORE

Saw action in four games after switching positions from running back to linebacker prior to the season ... Intercepted two passes against Chattanooga, making him the first UT linebacker to intercept two passes in a game since Mark Burns vs. Ole Miss on Nov. 14, 1981 and also recorded three tackles (9/14) ... Saw first action at linebacker in Tennessee’s season-opener at home against Georgia State, picking up three tackles and a TFL (8/31).

2018 – FRESHMAN

Rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns on 52 carries in 11 games as a true freshman … Logged three tackles on special teams … Rushed for 24 yards against Charlotte (11/3) … Totaled 18 rushing yards on six carries at Georgia (9/29) … Added a touchdown and rushed for 25 yards on eight carries versus Florida (9/22) … Finished with 45 yards on nine carries against UTEP (9/15) … Tallied 62 rushing yards and scored his first two career touchdowns in the home opener against ETSU (9/8) … Rushed for 11 yards on five carries in his collegiate debut in the season opener versus West Virginia (9/1) … Made his only reception of the season – a 10-yard grab – against the Mountaineers … Practiced at linebacker towards the end of the season, but returned to running back in the spring. 

HIGH SCHOOL

A four-star recruit who starred at Cordova High School … Played in 2017 Toyota East-West TN Football All-Star Classic … Named to the 2017 TSWA Class 6A All-State Team and the 2017 All-Region 7-6A First Team … Rushed for 2,773 yards and 48 touchdowns over his career … Rushed for 1,941 yards and 32 touchdowns as a senior in 2017 … Helped lead Cordova to an 8-3 record and the 2017 state playoffs … Became first Memphis area player to score seven touchdowns in a game since 2011.
