McDonald's transfer credit partnership

McDonalds-CanadaCareer experience, professional training, and academic study at your fingertips

The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) has partnered with McDonald's Canada to offer McDonald's employees new pathways to pursue post-secondary education. This flexible credit agreement will allow managers with approved course credit to achieve their chosen credential at UFV while still working. Courses are offered in variety of delivery formats including online or in person. To determine which format courses are offered in, please consult the UFV timetable.

Leverage your management training from McDonald's to earn course credits

A total of six McDonald's management training courses have been approved for transfer credits at UFV:

  • Team Leader Development
  • Shift Leader Development (LTC)
  • Advanced Shift Leader Development (ALC)
  • Department Leader Development
  • Restaurant Leader Development
  • Business Management (MDP4)

If you have completed any of these courses and meet UFV’s admission requirements, you may receive credit toward one of four credentials at UFV.

Management Skills Certificate

Learn the skills you need to grow your career in a management role and become a leader within your organization.

General Studies diploma

Integrate transfer credits and choose courses from more than 100 disciplines that UFV offers for ultimate flexibility to earn a two-year diploma. When you graduate, you can continue your studies to earn a Bachelor of Integrated Studies.

Bachelor of Integrated Studies degree

Design the degree you need to achieve your career goals by combining your own unique blend of transfer credits, cooperative education experiences, and courses from many different fields to earn a four-year bachelor's degree.
