Dr. Choe has been a pioneer in advancing the role of pharmacists in the ambulatory care setting and within organized systems of care, such as the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). At U-M, she has served as the primary leader of these pharmacy services, which have become a model nationally. She also developed a new reimbursement process for clinical pharmacy services. Her research interests include pharmacists’ impact on clinical outcomes and process improvement, as well as improving medication use and outcomes, medication cost barriers, and policies on Medicare Part D structure. She also serves as the director of the Michigan Pharmacists Transforming Care and Quality (MPTCQ) Collaborative Process Initiative (CPI).
