Dr. Joshua Wyche has been named director of Pharmacy for Ambulatory Services at Augusta University Health, effective Aug. 1.

Since 2016, Wyche has served as Pharmacy Manager for Ambulatory and Oncology Services at AU Health and, under his leadership, he has implemented pharmaceutical services in the Georgia Cancer Center’s downtown clinics at University Hospital.

Richard Burrell, director of Pharmacy Services at AU Health, says Wyche is an innovative leader that not only motivates his team to achieve high standards, but he is willing to roll up his sleeves to lend a hand to administer quality care to our patients.

“Joshua has been instrumental in much of the growth already in the ambulatory pharmacy world at Augusta University, and has done a tremendous job managing our oncology services, medication assistance team and ambulatory clinic operations,” said Burrell. “Joshua demands a lot of himself, and I am very excited for him and for us as a department as we move forward with him in this leadership position.”

Wyche shared his sentiments.

“I believe in the vision and mission of our health system, and I am honored to take on this new position as we continue to expand our efforts in providing pharmaceutical care to our patients,” said Wyche.

Wyche received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Midwestern University. He also completed a Health System Pharmacy Administration Residency from Parkland Health and Hospital System.
