Thank you for celebrating with us!

CSO Latino Alliance

Thank you for joining us for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the CSO Latino Alliance at Instituto Cervantes on January 26. Your presence and positive energy while toasting to a decade of ¡Nuestras noches! contributed to an amazing atmosphere that will be cherished forever.

We sincerely value your positive remarks about the String Quartet, a talented ensemble of young Latino musicians from the Civic Orchestra. The highlight was undeniably when they performed “Son Guatemalteco,” a composition by our very own esteemed Advisory Board member, Xavier Beteta. Their beautiful performance added a special note to the experience. Also, the Brenden Perez Trio brought sheer joy with their “mariachi fusion,” whose cherished songs evoked memories of our childhood.

Amidst the joyous celebration, the South American wines were a hit, and the DJ’s lively mix of festive Latin rhythms — including salsa and cumbia — set the ideal tone. Laughter echoed, the dance floor was alive and the night sparkled with delightful moments. The food was unforgettable and delicious, with delights such as Tomato Gazpacho Shooters, Mini Fish Tacos, Chicken Empanadas and other savory treats and sweet indulgences.

We express gratitude for the esteemed presence of the consuls from Mexico and Argentina, as well as leaders of other Latino cultural and professional organizations. Additionally, our heartfelt thanks extend to our sponsors, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Purple Group, the CLESF Foundation, Atristain Advisors, LLC, Zelda’s Catering, and, of course, Instituto Cervantes, for generously allowing us to use their splendid venue. We look forward to future collaboration! Your support has truly made our event memorable and impactful.

If you haven’t already, check out the photos of the event on the CSO Latino Alliance Facebook page.

I encourage you to spread the word and get others connected by becoming members (at no extra cost), so they can receive communications about upcoming events and join us in embracing timeless music.

As a matter of fact, the next CSO Latino Alliance event is on February 17, Una tarde en familia, before the CSO for Kids concert, Carnival of the Animals. Bring the kids, nephews, nieces and grandkids.

Lastly, don’t miss the Flamenco Festival program at Instituto Cervantes starting at the end of February.

To the next ten years!
