Is knowledge power? While I strongly believe that ongoing learning is vital, I also find that it’s a true blessing and that it should be accessible easily. Learning can also be fun if you choose what to learn correctly and also find the methods that suit you best. So let’s dive into it.

1. Self-esteem

Your self-esteem, self-respect, and self-confidence are all reinforced when you’re well-informed. In many life circumstances, being informed will give you additional power. It gives you the confidence you need!

2. Self-reliance

When you’re proficient, you have the freedom to make decisions on your own. You’re not dependent on others for guidance. You know that you can stand on your own feet.

3. Informed decisions

When you’ve got a good grasp, you’re more apt to take risks as well! You use your smartness for your full benefit, so you can take calculated risks. Those with less understanding, are likely to take a risk-aversion approach in life.

4. Learn from experts

While you learn from failures and use them to improve yourself, do learn from the experts as well! They’re the ones who are leaders in their respective fields. You’ll find out what works and what doesn’t base on their experience and teachings.

5. Learn what’s proven

Find the best practices in your professional industry. Learn how to achieve what you truly want in your personal life. Follow hobby courses and much more… The point is that you can see what works best (from others) and save yourself precious time and money.

6. Success

Last but not least, with the insight you’re more likely to succeed. Success means different things to different people. However, set the right life goals for yourself, have an action plan to achieve them, and learn the skills that will empower you!

I’m a true advocate of lifelong learning. Personal growth knows no age or boundaries. The more you’re enlightened, the better. Having my blog is one of the strong reasons for it. It’s motivating!

Conclusion

Knowledge is indeed power… You cannot fool or take advantage of someone who is accomplished or has access to information. Make the most of learning experiences to make the most of your life! 2. I completely agree I wish more people would subscribe to this method of thinking, and truly do their own research on things, however society has become very complacent and lazy in this arena, so yes knowledge is power.

  3. This is really great post Sharvi, and I couldn’t agree more. Knowledge is indeed power. I think in an amalgam of some of your points, knowledge gives us more choices in life – it opens up our horizons and allows us to make better decisions. It truly is a keystone of a happy and flourishing life.

  4. You are so right! I believe that an investment in knowledge is never a waste. Even if those lessons are hard-won, and come from failure. Learning is always a plus!

  5. This may seem like common sense, but you make excellent points here. How often, especially on social media, we hear people ‘discussing’ topics that they have not bothered to learn about. You are absolutely correct in your assessment, knowledge gives us confidence to make informed decisions at all levels of our lives. Great post!

  6. it is sooooo true!!! The younger people are the less they care about it. Unfortunately the people will realize how important knowledge is only when they turn a little older and look back. I am still thinking on how to teach my daughter this for when she grows up.
