The Central Illinois community is invited to “A cultural journey around the world” at GlobalFest 2024, a family-friendly, educational event that celebrates the international diversity in Central Illinois. The event takes place at the Expo Gardens (1601 W. Northmoore Rd, Peoria, IL) on Saturday, March 2, 2024, 2:00-7:00 pm. Guests will get their passports stamped at international ethnic booths, learn unique aspects of different cultures, see traditional costumes, taste international food provided by local ethnic restaurants, and enjoy artistic performances from a variety of countries. Last year’s GlobalFest was enjoyed by more than 1,000 attendees who enjoyed energetic musical and dance performances, a dynamic fashion show, a scavenger hunt, international proverbs, and ethnic food provided by local restaurants.
