TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State University hosted its annual Diversity in Business Symposium on Monday.

The event brought together a diverse group of students and professionals. Speakers highlighted opportunities and challenges they have faced in supporting a more inclusive work environment.

"Networking, not only in the sense of business, but how diversity, equity, and inclusion are part of our business interactions and policies," said associate professor Milton Soto-Ferrari, Ph.D.

Marcus McChristian, Ph.D. was the keynote speaker. He is a foreign service officer for the U.S. Department of State. He is responsible for developing financial strategies, coaching cross-functional teams, and managing U.S. Embassy operations. McChristian completed his Bachelor of Science at Indiana State University.
