Authentic, French baguettes and crusty dinner rolls are set to launch into the St Pierre range later this year, reinvigorating the ‘take and bake’ market with a premium proposition. Made in France, to an authentic recipe, the range will offer retailers a unique opportunity to elevate the bakery offering.

Why St Pierre?

Brioche sales in America are growing across 4, 12, 26 and 52 week periods. The category is now worth more than $500mn to US grocery, growing 15 per cent in the last 12 months.

St Pierre is driving that growth, with the largest branded share of the market. In ISB, the brand has a 70 per cent share of the brioche category and is driving growth in the brioche market with its core range of Brioche Burger Buns, Seeded Brioche Burger Buns and Brioche Hot Dog Rolls.

What’s more, the brand is outpacing category growth in three key areas of bakery in the last six months;

  • St Pierre Waffles are up 139% in a category growing at just 11%
  • St Pierre’s ‘sweet snacks’ are growing at 92% in a category only up 13%
  • St Pierre’s Croissants are up 51%, outpacing the category which is growing at 15%
