Red Wing is neighbor to the Prairie Island Indian Community in bluff country. He Mni Can, or Barn Bluff, counts Thoreau among its visitors. Red Wing is famous for boots and pottery, both of which are made by hand in town. We offer many arts experiences, from the Sheldon Theater to the Anderson Center for the Arts.

Northfield is a small and vibrant city of roughly 22,000 people and two colleges, where the air often smells like cereal. It straddles the Cannon River (Dakota: Inyan Bosndata), an area of oak savanna on the old border between the tallgrass prairie and the Big Woods. It occupies the traditional homeland of the Wahpekute Dakota.
