investigates the formation and stability of accretional sedimentary landforms and landscapes with or without vegetation, from sand dunes in water, air or planetary bodies, to barrier islands andcoastal wetlands.
We are particularly interested in the resilience of coastal ecosystems to sea level riseand storm impacts.
We cover processes ranging from the motion of individual sand grains to the formation of dune fields.
We use physical models and field observations, mainly remote sensing data, alongside machine learning techniques and stochastic analysis.
