Dispersion of current-quarter forecasts of 3-month Treasury bill yield from the Survey of Professional Forecasters

I am an assistant professor of Economics at Carleton College

I completed my PhD in economics at Boston College. Prior to BC, I was a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. I completed my undergraduate degree at Grinnell College in Iowa.

I am also affiliated with Boston College Department of Economics and the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute.

My research focus is on macroeconomics, monetary policy, and the relationship of the macroeconomy and financial markets.  I am especially interested in understanding how people forecast macroeconomic variables with information frictions, the use of structural models to measure forecasts, and the interaction between fiscal and monetary policy and Treasury prices.
