Use the supporting documents to the right to help you as you make your selections. The Course Catalog will give you descriptions of each class that is available at Skyline. Follow the below instructions to complete your course selection request.

  1. Generate your Progress Toward Graduation (PTG) report to help you know which credits to work on next year. Click here for instructions on how to generate your PTG.

    • If you are an incoming 9th grader or coming from a different school district, you do not yet have a PTG.

  2. Scroll down on this page to the grade level you will be in next year.

  3. To view your course options, look at the Course Options & Videos for your upcoming grade and read the descriptions in the Course Catalog.

    • Download the pdf to view the linked videos that will tell you about each class.

  4. Fill in the worksheet as you decide which classes you would like to take. Be sure to fill in your core classes first (English, Math, Science, & Social Studies), and then you will fill in the remaining boxes with classes to earn your additional graduation credits. Also choose a few alternate classes.

  5. Complete the Course Selection Request Form for your upcoming grade to fill out your request.

    • Follow your worksheet and select the classes you have written down. This will help you to select the correct courses and the correct number of courses. The form will ask you to first fill in your core classes and then your additional courses. You need to have a full schedule, or 8.0 credits. Also select a few alternate classes.

    • A summary of the classes you have chosen will display before you submit the form.

    • Keep your worksheet or print the end-of-survey pdf summary as a reminder of the classes you have selected.

  6. Submit your completed GTI application to the Skyline Career Center. Students will not be enrolled in a GTI class without a completed application.
