The "Story Walk" is at different schools, a public library, and a public park to provide students, families, and community the opportunity to learn about Juneteenth with the physical interaction of walking, talking, and discovering facts together.

A federal holiday in the United States of America commemorating the emancipation of African-American slaves. It is also often observed for celebrating African-American culture. Originating in Galveston, Texas, it has been celebrated annually on June 19 in various parts of the United States since 1865.

The school storyboards are ready for students to use them with the teachers during the day and accessible for family and friends to use them after school and on the weekends.
The public library and park storyboards are ready for the community to use them 24/7.
The storyboards will be up until December 2022.
Guest Authors: Opal Lee & Alice F. Duncan (virtual or in-person) to read books, share historical context, and background knowledge to the students/staff of the participating schools.
Juneteenth eBooks are available at Dallas ISD, SORA for the use of all the Dallas ISD community.
Guest Authors: Opal Lee & Alice F. Duncan print books available at the participating public library and schools.
Partnerships with Collaboration from community partners and stakeholders to share information on Juneteenth and also hold exhibits of student work.
