Sailing Miami’s Bay with an adventurer

The boss is the wind, the wind will determine how far we go and in which direction. No matter where we end up there is something of interest on our journey!

Biscayne Bay is dotted with many sandbars, inlets, coves, Channel Islands, and mangrove patches all accessible from the water. We will be on the lookout for the many animals that call Biscayne Bay home: dolphins, manatees, sting rays, nurse sharks, pelicans, cormorants, egrets, ospreys, and herons, to name a few!

Things to know

How long is the tour?

The average length is 3.5 hours, or 3 to 4 hours. If we encounter wildlife we will extend it in the hopes of better appreciating it.

How old do you have to be participate?

The experience is open to almost everyone, from 2 year olds to 100 year olds.

Is the experience wheel chair accessible?

Unfortunately, not, the sailboats are not big enough to accommodate wheel chairs. But we are happy to introduce you to Shake-A-Leg Miami to get you out on the water despite any disability!

Are food and drink included in the experience?

Yes, we provide water, sodas, fruit, and crackers with hummus.

Can we bring towels?

Yes we will provide a dry bag for phones, keys, and wallets, and anything else you want to keep dry! But please try to me a minimalist, the boats are small, so we don’t have much space and frankly the less you bring the more you enjoy.

Can we bring our own drinks or food?

Yes you are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks, we will provide a cooler to keep things cool.

Do you guys offer snorkeling gear?

Yes we offer snorkeling gear.

Will we be the only ones on the boat?

No, the boat has a capacity for 5 adults, plus the captain. 90% of all trips consists of 4 guests!
You do have the option to rent the entire boat for a private sail.

What happens if we have to cancel due to bad weather?

We will try to reschedule the experience for another day. If that is not possible we will issue you a full refund. We also offer full refunds for cancellations up to 12 hours prior to booking date.

What happens if we run out of wind out on the Bay?

If we are relatively close we will probably paddle back. If we are on the far side of the bay we will call a rescue boat to tow us in.

Wow! This was our first sailing experience and it was absolutely amazing! The experience went above and beyond our expectations. David was an awesome and friendly captain. He gave us so much information about the area of Miami I felt like we had a sailing experience and a tour all-in-one! He also captured beautiful photos and videos of us. We had great conversations and enjoyed being out on the water. The trapezing experience was out of this world! We saw some wild life and enjoyed the beautiful sand bars that he took us too. Had such an amazing time sailing with Captain David! He was super flexible and accommodating. We almost cancelled the trip because of bad weather. It cleared up at the last moment so I texted him and we decided to go ahead with the sail. He tried his best to make sure we saw all the good spots and he brought along the best (and healthiest) snacks. Highly highly recommend him if you’re visiting miami!
