Description

This session will explore the increased emotional energy needed in the practice of medicine, including rumbling with anxiety and fear, both in ourselves and with our patients. It will include tools to navigate these times day to day both as you care for your patients and yourself.

About the Speakers

Michael Lee, MD is a practicing family physician and currently serves as District Medical Director for a primary care group called One Medical in Orange County. He has served on multiple committees advocating for physician wellness and is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator on the work of Brene Brown. In addition, he coaches physicians and other professionals on communication, leadership, and burnout.

Pamela Honsberger, MD is a physician leader at Kaiser Permanente Orange County and currently serves as the Physician Director of Leadership Development. She plays an instrumental role in supporting physician leaders and developing them for their roles. She is also a pioneer in creating multiple different programs supporting physician wellness. Dr. Honsberger has coached physicians and other professionals around leadership and wellness, and is certified in multiple areas from Emotional Intelligence to Dr. Brene Brown's Dare to Lead.
