The mission of the Raíces Recruitment & Retention Center, formerly known as the Raza Recruitment and Retention Center, is to provide outreach to K-12 and community college students throughout the state of California in an effort to demystify and promote higher education.

This semester we are planning both in-person and virtual Outreach events, including tours and Q&A panels. We are very excited to be able to offer in-person outreaches again and will take the necessary COVID-19 health measures when hosting these outreaches. The purpose of these tours and panels is to introduce a different perspective on higher education, be a resource for people seeking information on higher education, and provide support for SOC. Tours, led by UC Berkeley student volunteers, will give attendees a chance to see some of the central highlights of campus and take about an hour. For panels, there will be current UC Berkeley students who will answer any college-related questions for an hour.
