Two new Ohio congress members report for duty: Democrat Shontel Brown and Republican Mike Carey

WASHINGTON, D. C. - A pair of Ohio Congress members who won special elections on Tuesday to fill vacant congressional seats were sworn in Thursday to their new positions in a ceremony on the House of Representatives floor.

Ohio’s most senior member of Congress, Toledo Democrat Marcy Kaptur, led Ohio’s congressional delegation in introducing Warensville Heights Democrat Shontel Brown and Columbus Republican Mike Carey to their colleagues.
