"These things made me stand out to them and helped me land my job within one year of joining MEM."
When asked about a most memorable project, Palaha says "while every project had its own fun learning experience, I specifically enjoyed doing a project for Associate of Supply Chain Management (ASCM) to submit in their annual competition." This involved a group brainstorming ideas, categorizing, prioritizing, creating, and a video presentation. A similar experience came from a Facilities Design at Medtronic where they worked in an actual industrial setting with an industrial supervisor, thus granting more insight into how industries today think and work. "I always looked forward to the work with my team, like a real professional."
When asked about her transition to Graduate School she said "Masters Program is not easy but when you have the support of professors, you can focus on more important things for your studies."
She was Vice- President of the American Society of Engineering Management SCSU Chapter for the year 2017-2018.
When asked about the SCSU at Plymouth Campus she said "The facility and its people have been extremely kind and supportive to me and all of us students."
"Every need of a student is met either by the professors or the Facility Coordinator and in case it could not be met by them, professors from other programs or other staff have also come out to help us in any way they could.
"I loved to sit in the facility doing assignments or study, sometimes even more than my own home. I had worked as a Facility Assistant myself which gave me an opportunity to meet several students and professors who gave me great social and networking experience besides making friends"
"The Plymouth location is great for its proximity to essentials, it also proved to be very helpful in reaching out to companies as it made them comfortable too knowing that the candidates are nearby."
