In the Wear It Wednesday video series Emma, Director of Workforce and Business Development, and Christie, Chamber President/CEO, go to member businesses, put on the uniform, and get to work!

Christie and Emma visited Benedictine Living Community where they learned about the many opportunities available in the four facilities that are part of the community and the training opportunities they provide for career progression.

WINONA STATE UNIVERSITY
In this Wear It Wednesday video, Christie and Emma look at filling workforce from a different angle: education. Focus isn't on a specific company's hiring needs, but how we prepare many future employees right here in Winona with programs at Winona State University. We also learn about options that the university has for building on education and training for company's current employees, showing just how broad of an economic impact Winona State has on the workforce population for our area.
ISLAND CITY BREWING CO.
Emma gets a behind the scenes look at the jobs at our local brewery - Island City Brewing Company! Watch the video to hear a little about their processes, see the canning production, and how keeping things local is important to them.
WINONA HEALTH
In this week's Wear It Wednesday, Emma and Christie visited Winona Health to learn about their current openings, as well as check out their new simulation lab where caregivers have opportunities for continued learning.

Christie and Emma visited Sugar Loaf Ford Lincoln to learn about the company’s workforce needs in a new program called “Wear It Wednesday”. They had the opportunity to talk with owner, Mike Puetz, and other employees to see what it is like to work in the salesroom and the shop, learn about positions available for hire, and what SLF looks for in a candidate.
