1. Property Specifications

Please read the survey instructions to preview the type of information needed and determine who best at your dealership will be able to complete the survey (e.g. an office or facility manager). You may have to get information from different departments or obtain energy- and water-use data from your utility provider. 

The survey asks for 2019 calendar year energy-use data for a single physical address location and should include all dealership-related buildings on the property. To the extent that you do not have energy and/or water consumption and cost data, request it from your utilities. If you have more than one dealership location, please fill out a separate survey for as many locations as possible.

The data collected by NADA in this survey will be anonymized and provided in bulk to EPA's ENERGY STAR program where it will be analyzed and used to create the opportunity for dealerships to receive a 1-100 ENERGY STAR score and to earn ENERGY STAR certification

A dealership with an active Portfolio Manager account may choose to allow EPA to enter energy/water data directly from its account to save time (see the instructions for more information). In lieu of using Survey Monkey, a hard copy survey response may be emailed to energysurvey@nada.org. By filling out and submitting the survey, you consent to be contacted by NADA's contractor, Altura, to validate and confirm your dealership's responses as necessary.
