WH108b Celebration of Momma “DadiMa” Prashar
Holiday season always begins with Diwali through Christmas and New Years in our Prashar household. I imagine many listeners have similar stories. This episode is dedicated to my Mother, who I lost this year to ALS. This is partially what I spoke at her funeral. A celebration of this amazing woman who taught me to adapt to life and celebrate all along the way. And a reminder to our WH family to hug your family and friends close – they are the dearest pillars of our lives. Love you forever Mom, Atul
Please listen to "Whiskey Hue Episode 72: Hustle Generation (A Tribute Episode)", where us 3 co-hosts celebrate parents we had lost at that time. Carry the family torch with honor and respect, and the legacy lasts forever... -
WH108a ALS, “Lou Gehrig’s Disease” and Neurodegenerative Conditions
The incredible Dr. Vibhav Bansal, Neuro-Intervention Medical Director, Javon Bea Hospital, in Rockford, IL, joins Atul to discuss Neurodegenerative diseases, and in particular, ALS, which affects nerve cells in the brain & spinal cord. There is no cure for ALS yet, an unforgiving illness, impacting all patients differently. I wouldn’t wish this to happen to any loved one, but it happened to my dear Mom, whom we lost in August of this year. This episode is meant to drive awareness around ALS, an understanding of it, how we can support, and a celebration of my dear Mom.
