Two of the greatest public health crises of the last two centuries had a significant impact on St. Louis. How our community responded then has shaped our actions during the current pandemic. Join us as we get perspective from Mike Venso, Missouri History Museum’s Military and Firearms Curator. Mike will discuss the 1849 cholera and 1918 influenza pandemics.

About our speaker:

Mikall “Mike” Venso – is the Military & Firearms Curator for the Missouri Historical Society and the Soldiers Memorial Military Museum in St. Louis, Missouri.  He earned a B.A. in print journalism at Kansas State University and an M.A. degree in history and museum studies certification at the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
