Announcing the Winners of the 2022 PAEA Faculty and Staff Awards

One of the highlights of every Education Forum is recognizing the advocates, teachers, and innovators who are challenging us to consider how we can do things differently in the interest of personal and professional growth. Through their work as administrators, researchers, faculty members, and clinical and program directors, each PAEA Faculty & Staff Award recipient has made a lasting impact on their students and professional community.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2022 PAEA Faculty & Staff Awards possible. Without your nominations and letters of support, PAEA’s volunteer-based Awards & Honors Review Committee would not have had the opportunity to uplift members who contribute so much to our profession.

The following award recipients were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions within PA education at the Awards Ceremony.

Brenda Jasper

Inaugural Brenda Jasper Project Access Award
This year, PAEA established the inaugural Brenda Jasper Project Access Award in honor of Brenda Jasper, PA-C, former APAP Vice President and one of the first black PAs in PA leadership. Working alongside Peggy Valentine, Jasper founded Project Access under the AAPA Minority Affairs Committee in 1987. This award recognizes the winners of PAEA’s annual Student-Led Project Access Competition.
