October 17 + 18, 2024

Join us to network, learn new design strategies and best practices, and see what new tools are available to increase your craft. The conference will be held at the beautiful Clark College campus just over the border in Washington. We welcome attendees from the Pacific Northwest, as well as colleagues from farther away.

Session Proposals

We are thrilled to have you join us as a presenter to discuss teaching and learning, technology, pedagogy, faculty development, and visions of the future. The deadline for submissions is May 24, 2024.

Session Categories and Possible Topics

This year, we will have three broad session categories: (1) Teaching and Learning in the Classroom, (2) Professional Development, and (3) Big Picture. See descriptions below.

Session Format and Length

Sessions can be 30 minutes, 50 minutes, or – if PechaKucha format – 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Some example session formats are below. We welcome creativity and innovation in your presentations!

Presentation
(30 minutes or 50 minutes)
Presentations are the standard session format. They involve one or more speakers sharing information on a specific topic in a structured and often interactive manner.
Discussion
(30 minutes or 50 minutes)
A discussion format is an open conversation and exchange of ideas among participants, facilitated by a moderator or discussion leader.
Panel
(30 minutes or 50 minutes)
A panel could be a group of students, faculty, or other stakeholers sharing their perspectives, along with audience contribution.
PechaKucha
(6 minutes and 40 seconds)
PechaKucha is a presentation format where speakers present their ideas using a specific structure of 20 slides, each displayed for 20 seconds and automatically advanced. PechaKucha sessions are fast-paced and concise.
