HOUSTON- Several were hurt in Houston after a vehicle drove into the front of a grocery store.

"We just heard something went boom and we just rushed down there had a lady laying on the ground," said witness Tiffany Lewis.

Police say 8 people were hurt. The youngest, just 9-years-old, when someone drove into the front of the Fiesta on Cullen in the Sunnyside area.

"Saturday afternoon is about as busy as it gets at a grocery store," said Commander Kevin Deese.

Mika Thibeaux was next door when people recognized she was wearing scrubs and asked her to help a woman who was badly hurt.

"First thing I saw was a lady laying face down in a pool of blood glass everywhere. I did my job as far as keeping her calm and settled and applying pressure until they came," said Mika Thibeaux.

Police said they were thankful it was not worse.

"We're fortunate in this situation no loss of life," said Commander Kevin Deese.
