Natural History Studies and Registries in the Development of Rare Disease Treatments

In-Person and Virtual workshop at the FDA White Oak campus, Great Room, from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. EDT. The Reagan-Udall Foundation for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in collaboration with FDA’s Rare Diseases Team within the Office of Rare Diseases, Pediatrics, Urologic and Reproductive Medicine; Office of New Drugs; Center for Drug Evaluation and Research and the National Institutes of Health’s Division of Rare Diseases Research Innovation within NCATS, is hosting a workshop to bring together rare disease patient advocates, academic researchers, regulated industry, and other key stakeholders to discuss considerations for the use of natural history study and registry data in rare disease drug development programs.

The NCATS Advisory Council will convene a virtual/in-person meeting on May 23, 2024. The meeting will feature presentations from NCATS Director Joni L. Rutter, Ph.D., and others about the center’s initiatives, policies, programs and future direction. Location and time TBD.
