Doffek Inducted into Land O’ Lakes Hall of Fame

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Scott Doffek, head coach of the Milwaukee baseball team, was inducted into the 2020 Land O' Lakes Hall of Fame, announced by the Board of Directors on August 25.

"The Land O' Lakes offers a great opportunity to continue playing a kid's game," Doffek commented. "I played on and off for parts of four decades and it was an absolute blast. It is truly the purest form of the sport. Everyone involved is in it because they love it. I was so fortunate to play with some great people who are now great friends. We won a lot of games and several championships but what sticks with you is the relationships. I can't thank the Land O' Lakes enough for the honor."

Doffek played 20 years for the summer baseball organization and was at or near the top in batting average and home runs annually. From 1986-89, Doffek played middle infield for Monches and from 1994-2010, he played shortstop and second base for the Lannon Stonemen.

In his 20 seasons, Doffek played for five Lannon Grand Championship teams and in the only year he managed, he led the Stonemen to an undefeated season in 1998, capped with a championship. He became the 26th Lannon player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Doffek, the 2013 Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association College Coach of the Year and two-time Horizon League Coach of the Year, just finished his 15th year as the head coach of the Milwaukee Panthers in 2021 and 28th overall on the coaching staff. He is the Panthers' all-time program leader with 393 victories.

Before joining the coaching staff, Doffek spent five seasons (1989-93) in the Los Angeles Dodgers minor league system, making it to the Triple-A level.
