MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Senior
Brandi Bisping of the Milwaukee women's basketball team was named to this year's Horizon League All-Academic team, announced by the league office on Thursday.
To be eligible for the Horizon League All-Academic team, student-athletes must participate in 50 percent of the team's overall games, have completed one year at the school, and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Bisping earned her undergraduate degree in Human Resources in three years and owns a 3.84 grade point average as she works toward her Masters of Business Administration. It marks the first All-Academic Team award for Bisping and the third in the last five years for the women's basketball team. Bisping was one of 28 nominees for the award.
The Morton, Illinois, native is having a career-year, averaging highs in points (10.7 per game), rebounds (8.6), and assists (2.1). She was named Horizon League Player of the Week on January 11. Additionally, Bisping leads the league and ranks sixth in the nation with a free throw percentage of 92.4.
