MILWAUKEE, Wis. –
Annie Guerrero of the Milwaukee women's track and field was recognized for both athletic and academic achievement Wednesday as she was named an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar. Guerrero earned a spot on the Fourth Team.
Guerrero, a Health Sciences major with a 3.63 grade point average, shined at the Horizon League Indoor Championships, earning second place in the high jump with a mark of 1.70 meters. She was named to the All-League Second Team for her finish.
The sophomore's top mark in 2019-20 came at the Tierney Classic on January 18, tying teammate
Ashley Melvin for a then-school record height of 1.72 meters.
