MILWAUKEE – Seven Milwaukee Athletics teams recorded a perfect 1000 Academic Progress Rate (APR) score for the 2018-19 period, according to NCAA APR figures released Tuesday.
 
Eleven of Milwaukee's thirteen sports programs recorded a score of 975 or better for the single-year cohort. The following programs posted perfect APR scores of 1000.

Women's Track & Field

Milwaukee student-athletes continue to score high marks in the classroom and during the Fall 2019 semester posted a collective 3.31 grade-point average. That marked the 39th consecutive semester that Milwaukee student-athletes recorded a GPA of 3.0 or better, as well as the 10th straight with a 3.20 GPA or higher.
 
During the Fall 2019 semester, 100 Panthers compiled a GPA of at least 3.8, while 52 of those achieved a perfect 4.0 mark. A tally of 142 Milwaukee student-athletes were also recognized on 2018 Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll.
 
The APR, created to be a more real-time measurement of academic success than graduation rates, is a team-based metric through which scholarship student-athletes each term earn one point for remaining eligible and one point for staying in school or graduating.
