MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee men's and women's basketball teams will have another reason to focus on their attempts from the free throw line this season, as McDonald's will help support local charities based on how many free throws get made each home game.
The McDonald's Charity Stripe promotion will run all season long, resulting in a monetary donation of $10 for each made free throw by the Panthers over the course of the 2020-21 campaign.
The men's basketball program has chosen the Next Door Foundation and the women's program has selected House of Peace as its designated charity for the year. McDonald's, located on the corner of North Avenue and Oakland Avenue near the UWM campus, is set to make the contributions for each and every home contest all winter.
The day after each home game this season, the per-game and cumulative season totals for the McDonald's Charity Stripe will be updated on team Twitter accounts.
