STUDENT AMBASSADOR NOMINATIONS

Each year dignitaries, sponsors and community members are given guided tours by Student Ambassadors (volunteer students from the participating FRC teams). Student Ambassadors also give tours to younger students on field trips and interact with the media at our event.  Please be sure to nominate two students from your team as soon as possible. Click Here to submit names. Deadline for submitting names for the Central Missouri Regional is Monday, March 20, 2023.

ALL STUDENT SURVEY
This survey link should be sent to each student on your FRC Team to complete prior to the Regional. Survey completion status from each team will be checked at pit admin prior to taking the field on Thursday.
Click Here for the Student Survey.

If your team is attending more than one of the 3 regionals in Kansas and Western Missouri, students need to only do the survey once (prior to the first Regional you will attend).

These surveys help inform us about our students’ participation and possible future interests in mathematics and science. Knowing more about participation in FRC and student future plans assists us in strategic planning and fundraising for FIRST in our Region. At no time will students be individually identified for purposes of this study nor will individual student information be reported. Rather, the goal is to examine the overall effect of participation in FIRST Robotics Competition.

ATTENTION: TEAMS ORGANIZING FIELD TRIPS
If you or anyone you know is planning field trips or other student group visits to any of our regionals (Heartland, GKC, or Central Missouri), please complete this form and/or forward to those who are organizing the trip.

We encourage visits by larger groups especially younger students. Help us make the event positive for all by letting us know when you will be arriving and how many are in your group. We can assist you as needed via our Student Ambassador program and assure traffic flow around the field and pits is optimum. Please plan on at least one responsible adult per 10 children. We ask that you complete the form even if you will be utilizing your own students as chaperones for the children.

VIP INVITATIONS - HELP US INVITE THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE IMPORTANT TO YOUR TEAM:
We have extended invitations to community members and would love for you and your students to do so as well. Please feel free to forward this VIP RSVP link to your school Principals and Superintendents as well as your sponsors and other community members that help your team. This link allows your VIPs to register for special tours Saturday and Sunday.

LOCAL PUBLIC INFORMATION about all 3 of our Regionals
Want an easy way to spread the word about our local tournament?  Pass on the link to our calendar of events to spread the word about the three Regionals in our FIRST region.

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED:

We need adult volunteers for:

  • Field assembly & disassembly
  • Field reset
  • Pit admin support
  • Practice field attendants
  • Spare part attendants
  • Team load in/out

FRIDAY
SENIOR RECOGNITION

Friday, March 24, 2023 is Senior Day at the Central Missouri Regional. We plan to celebrate our seniors with a parade to start off Opening Ceremonies on Friday. Seniors should wear t-shirts and spirit wear from the college of their choice. Additionally, we are asking colleges in attendance to provide seniors with spirit wear, and hopefully – increase awareness of FIRST Robotics among our post-secondary schools in the process.
Note: The Senior Survey of past years has been combined with the All Student Survey this year, so please have your seniors complete it by March 20 so that we can alert the colleges of their interest and t-shirt size.

WOMEN IN STEM LUNCHEON
Spread the word to your female team members that they are invited to a luncheon on Friday, March 24 at 11:45 am at the Central Missouri Regional to celebrate women in STEM.  Lunch, STEM mentors, and a fun time will be provided. Look for more information at the venue.
