Adults Forward: Full Steam Ahead!

The Adults Forward Program's inaugural semester began with 28 students, with more students anticipated to start this Fall semester. The program is tailored to adult students pursuing a four-year degree in Management and Administration or Interdisciplinary Studies.

“I’m excited about the opportunities for students in our new Adults Forward program. We had a successful launch of Adults Forward this term at the Southern Crescent Technical College Henry Center.," Dr. Ric Calhoun AVP of Innovative Education and Strategic Initiatives said.

Gordon has collaborated with technical college partners on the Adults Forward program placing an emphasis on degree completion and adult student needs. Courses are offered in an accelerated 8-week hybrid format with face-to-face instruction once a month in McDonough, allowing students to complete their degree in two years.

"The program creates a clearer pathway for adult learners with degrees from our technical college partners to complete a bachelor's degree in a shorter amount of time. Southern Crescent Technical College has been a great partner with Gordon State College for many years and we look forward to helping more of their students achieve a bachelor’s degree, while also providing another adult learner friendly option for students currently enrolled at Gordon,” Calhoun added.

Second term Spring 2021 classes for the Adults Forward program begins March 10. For more information about Adults Forward call 678.359.5035 or visit Gordon's Adults Forward webpage.

Freshman Advice: You are now in control of your education, you get out what you put in. If you need help, don't understand information, and/or are just plain lost, ask for the help. Learn to speak up! If you put the effort in, then your grades will reflect your work. Also, enjoy yourself!

Hobbies & Interest: I enjoy travelling, reading, going to the beach, spending time with friends and family. During my off time, I try to relax as much as possible. When I do travel, I enjoy going to museums, parks, galleries, and taking in the local food/environment!
