This September, GSC McDonough gained two outgoing and talented student ambassadors, Emma-Leigh Morgan (pictured left)) and I'sis Robinson (pictured right). Both ambassadors are Henry County residents, and have been tasked with marketing and outreach endeavors, as well as student engagement and activity planning.
"I chose to be an ambassador because I want to build our students' confidence since most of us are fresh out of high school. " Robinson said. "I'm looking forward to gaining leadership experience and learning skills that can be applied in a real world setting."
Robinson, a business administration and management major started at GSC this Fall and was influenced by her older sibling on becoming a GSC Highlander.
"GSC was my choice because my sister attended and I believe the college will prepare me as an entrepreneur."
Morgan is a sophomore at GSC majoring in nursing and chose GSC for its outstanding reputation.
"I chose GSC because of the renowned reputation of the nursing program, " Morgan said. "I wanted to be a student ambassador because I love connecting and interacting with people. I hope to inspire other students to take a more active role in representing Gordon State College, while also gaining communication and leadership skills that will help me in my career."

Advice to Freshmen: 1. You were accepted because you have shown that you have qualities required to complete college. 2. Manage your time effectively. Do not procrastinate. Remember to seek out support when necessary.
Interesting Fact: My 'free time' is split between my three-year-old daughter and PhD studies.
