The Monroe College women’s basketball team represents New York City like no other, with every player on the team coming from the five boroughs. Now, these NYC hoopers are making their way to their third straight national tournament.
They’re now gearing up to play against seventh-ranked Dallas College-Cedar Valley. After losing five of their last six regular season games, the Monroe College Express won three straight in the Region 15 tournament to earn a spot in the NJCAA Division III national tournament.
"We're going to look to build and continue that - the young ladies kind of know what's expected at this point so now it's just going in and putting in the work to prepare because we've been big on preparation all year,” said head coach Damel Ling.
