Connections
How are you maintaining connections with students during the school closures?
- Are you tracking the data on which means of communication are working best for which students?
- Are you keeping a list of students who have lost connection for tracking down when we can have in-person contact?
Go beyond the minimum to keep students engaged and progressing. Let us know what you are doing! Email us!
Celebrations
The end of the school year brings celebrations of successes and graduation. Some schools may conduct virtual graduations, small distanced gatherings, or will mail celebrations home in an envelope. Some are conducting drive-through graduations with stations in the parking lot, much like food and school work pickup, with the last stop a photo op in cap & gown! A few schools in Phase Two are using the local drive-in movie theatre!
- What are you doing? Send us some pictures for our June newsletter!

During school facility closures, Superintendent Reykdal has allowed alternate methods for the purpose of meeting the two-hour face-to-face requirement in Open Doors reengagement programs as defined in WAC 392-700-015(3).
