We are digital learning, not ed tech
Digital learning is all about expanding learning by eliminating barriers of time and place. (Ed tech is primarily about layering technology onto traditional schools and classrooms.)
DLAC attendees are school and district leaders, online and hybrid school teachers, policy advocates, NGOs, providers, entrepreneurs, and others creating many of the most innovative options for students. These include district online and hybrid schools, charter schools, private schools, state virtual schools, microschools, independent study, and many other forms and flavors.
We know that digital tools and resources aren't silver bullets that magically transform education. But when creative educators use technology to create and scale learning outside walls and bell schedules, students see more opportunities and achieve better outcomes.
Digital learning is a small but growing part of education. Since our first DLAC in 2019, we have grown every year and in 2024 welcomed more than 1700 attendees representing almost all US states and 15 countries. (Hello Delaware and Rhode Island, we can’t wait to see you!)
We invite you to join us to learn from each other, and share best and emerging practices. Our sessions are shorter, livelier, and more interactive than most conferences, creating a high-energy gathering built on sharing and conversations.

Who DLAC is for
DLAC aims to bring together practitioners working on real change and is designed for a wide range of attendees, including:
Educators (school/district leaders, teachers) in traditional, online/, hybrid, or blended schools seeking to share best practices and learn from one another
Mainstream school educators seeking to start or develop system-level (school or district) digital learning programs and strategies
Companies and non-profit organizations providing digital tools, resources, professional learning, and other support
Researchers who work with educators to implement evidence-based improvements and enhancements
State education agency personnel and other policymakers who seek to support digital learning in a range of schools
Agenda Highlights
DLAC isn’t just a "sit and get" conference. You will have opportunities to share your experiences, learn from collaborators, catch up with colleagues, and meet new friends in both facilitated sessions and informal settings. There are also plenty of short presentations if you want to listen and learn.
So much of the value of a conference comes from the "hallway conversations" outside the sessions. We aim to maximize those opportunities while maintaining the benefits of more traditional conference programming.
