INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced 190 men's and women's teams Monday as recipients of the 2020-21 Team Academic All-GLVC Award. The GLVC recognizes each team from member institutions that have maintained a 3.30 grade point average for the academic year. The total of 190 honorees is shy of last year's record-breaking total of 207 but well above the previous record from 2018-19 of 152.

Truman State (12) – Women's Track & Field (3.75), Women's Golf (3.74), Women's Cross Country (3.64), Women's Basketball (3.60), Volleyball (3.58), Men's Cross Country (3.48), Women's Soccer (3.48), Softball (3.43), Women's Swimming & Diving (3.43), Men's Soccer (3.39), Men's Basketball (3.36), Women's Tennis (3.33).

The GLVC matched last year's league record with 13 member institutions finishing with 10 or more teams at or above a 3.30. Maryville matched its Conference-best mark from 2019-20 with 17 sports meeting the 3.30 standard.

Seven GLVC members either maintained or increased their totals from a year ago. UMSL led the league in largest academic growth by a GLVC school, having increased their total by six teams, as the Tritons went from eight to 14.

Of the 190 honored programs, 128 came from women's sports and 62 from the men's side.
