Influenza (the flu)

Influenza spreads from person to person through droplets made when an ill person coughs, sneezes, or talks. Influenza can spread in schools, workplaces or homes.

Everyone ages 6 months and older should get an annual flu vaccine to prevent illness. Talk to your healthcare provider about what influenza vaccine is right for you.
