Jeremias Sulam is an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and is also affiliated with the Mathematical Institute for Data Science and the Center for Imaging Science.

The Sulam Group’s research focuses on machine learning, sparse recovery, and inverse problems in general and biomedical imaging tasks. Sulam is interested in the study of deep learning, its application to detection, classification, and other problems in biomedical sciences, as well as devising methods for the safe and responsible use of these tools.

He studied biomedical engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Entre Ríos in Argentina in 2013, and earned his PhD in computer science from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology in 2018.
