Adam Charles, an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, works primarily in the area of signal processing for neural imaging, data analysis, machine learning, and other applications, using tools from probabilistic and low-dimensional modeling. His goal is to understand the complex computations that the human brain performs.
He received his BE and ME degrees in electrical and computer engineering at Cooper Union in 2009 and his PhD in electrical and computer engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015. He joined Johns Hopkins University from a position as a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University in 2019.
