Video Documentation Interns work with the staff videographer to chronicle the Festival season.

Responsibilities include filming performances, classes, events, rehearsals, and lectures, as well as editing videos used to help promote the Festival. Excerpts from the videos are used online as part of a popular resource known as Jacob’s Pillow Dance Interactive. Other duties include equipment setup and breakdown, management of High Definition video files, DVD duplication, troubleshooting equipment, and helping maintain the Pillow’s extensive video archives. The video equipment is all High Definition and the video editing platform used is Adobe Premiere.

Candidates are required to have familiarity with video equipment as well as experience shooting dance. Candidates must include a brief sample of video work, preferably of dance, with their application.

COVID full vaccination and any eligible boosters are required as a condition of employment for all staff, interns, and fellows.
